Girls' Generation's Taeyeon is set to release her first compilation album to mark her 10th anniversary as a solo artist.
The title track 'Panorama' is a Pop Rock song that combines vibrant piano, synthesizer, intense drum lines, and a driving guitar melody. The lyrics convey greetings to past and future days, and Taeyeon's vocals, which range from delicate to powerful, deliver a profound resonance.
The music video tells the story of Taeyeon, who loses her memory in an accident and embarks on an impromptu journey with a girl who resembles her, experiencing a dream-like day. The video enhances the song's emotional impact with Taeyeon's fresh visuals, dramatic direction, and artistic cinematography.
On December 1st at 6PM, 'Panorama : The Best of TAEYEON' will be available on various music platforms. The album features 24 tracks, including the new title track 'Panorama', selected from different periods and genres of Taeyeon's career, offering a panoramic view of her decade-long journey.

Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation sits down with CLASH to discuss her ‘Panorama: The Best of Taeyeon’ album, revisiting past songs and the rise of K-pop across the globe.
After establishing herself in the iconic K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation, Taeyeon took the leap of faith and embarked on a solo career. The popular Korean singer is approaching the 10th anniversary of this momentous solo debut and to mark the occasion, Taeyeon has released her first compilation album, ‘Panorama.’
Taeyeon took a “nostalgic” trip into the archive of her solo career and hand-picked 24 songs which capture her unmistakable and trusted artistry.
As a treat for the fans, Taeyeon has also released a new song, ‘Panorama’, which she wanted to capture the person who she is right now, looking back from a place of experience and wisdom.
What did you feel was most important to express when compiling ‘Panorama: The Best of Taeyeon’ album and what was this process like?
For the 10th anniversary, I wanted to look back on everything I’ve shared with my fans over the years. Diving into the archive was nostalgic, but I also hoped my new work could spark anticipation for what comes next. As always, I put my heart into the album and also prepared a few special things for the fans as a way to give back. It made the whole process even more meaningful.
Did it give you any new perspective on your past solo music?
It reminded me just how many different sides of myself have existed over the years. And honestly, I realised again how challenging so many of my songs were — but of course, every single one of them is meaningful and close to my heart.
What are your memories of your solo debut? How did you feel taking that leap of faith from girl group member to a solo career?
I was really nervous, and I couldn’t help but take everything seriously. There wasn’t much room to joke around or relax at that time. It felt like a huge leap, and I just put my whole heart into it.
Was there anything challenging about a solo career that you needed time to adapt to compared to a group?
As a solo artist, you make a lot of decisions on your own, so there was always something to think about or worry over. It definitely took a lot of courage at every step.
Was a solo career always something you dreamt about? Or did this desire come later in your career?
A solo path wasn’t in my plans early on. Back then, I was fully committed to my role in Girls’ Generation, and wanted to improve and explore before taking that step.
Did working on the ‘Panorama’ album give you a new lease of inspiration for your future music?
Revisiting my past songs reminded me how technically demanding many of them were. They’re all amazing tracks, but it also made me want to explore a more relaxed style. Maybe I’ll try coming up with some easy-listening tracks next time!
Where did the idea come from for your ‘Panorama’ single’ and what inspired the new concept / sound?
I wanted the song to capture who I am right now and serve as a sincere way of giving back to my fans. A 10th anniversary is such a meaningful milestone — it’s not something that comes around easily. So, I felt the sound needed to carry real emotion, something that resonates deeply without weighing you down. I wanted to add a drop of hope.
Kim Jong Wan revisited ‘Time Lapse’ for a 2025 mix… How did you feel when listening to the new version and what do you think the 2025 mix added or changed about the song?
I think this version puts much more focus on my vocals. In the original, I was surrounded by a rush of instruments, but the 2025 mix lets my voice guide the entire track. It gives the song a new sense of space and intimacy.
What is next for Taeyeon? Either as GG or solo music?
Well, right now, I want to spend a little more time understanding who I am and let the next chapter unfold naturally. I used to focus so much on ‘Taeyeon the singer,’ but I feel like I’m at a point in my life where I also need to think about what I, Kim Taeyeon, want as a person. Some people may feel differently about the changes I make, but I hope they can see them as another step in my growth.
How does it feel to see the rise of K-pop across the globe from when you started in the industry to where we are in 2025?
Seeing K-pop connect with fans all over the world has been incredible. The artists today are so talented and dedicated, and it inspires me as well. I’m genuinely excited to see where K-pop goes next.

Q. 데뷔곡 ‘I’를 10년만에 새로운 버전으로도 선보이게 됐는데 다시 선보이는 소감
저에겐 너무나 시그니처가 된 곡이라 너무 소중하기에 새로운 버전도 만들게 됐어요. 새로운 곡도 좋지만 기존 곡들이 갖고 있는 매력을 다른 시선으로도 표현해 보고 싶었어요.
Q. 이번 앨범에 대표적인 시기와 장르로 선별한 24트랙이 수록되어 있는데, 포함하지 못해서 아쉬운 곡 하나만 꼽는다면?
한 곡만 고르기 어려워서 두 곡. 미니 3집의 수록곡 ‘Circus’와 ‘Something New’
Q. 신곡이자 타이틀곡 ‘인사 (Panorama)’는 어떤 곡인지?
과거의 나와 미래의 나에게 소중한 인사를 건네는 이야기예요. 팬들을 생각하며 탄생하게 된 곡입니다.

더 편안해지고 더 행복해진 모습으로 사람들 앞에, 또는 나 스스로에게 더 당당한 모습일 것 같습니다.

Q. How do you feel about reaching your 10th anniversary and what would you like to say to your fans?
I'm always grateful to sing with you on this journey. I'll show you even better sides of myself with this 10th anniversary.
Q. How does it feel to present a new version of your debut song 'I' after 10 years?
'I' is such a signature song for me, so I created a new version because it's so precious. I wanted to express the charm of existing songs from a different perspective, even though new songs are great too.
Q. With 24 tracks selected from different periods and genres, is there a song you regret not including?
It's hard to choose just one, so I'll pick two: 'Circus' and 'Something New' from my third mini-album.
Q. What is the title track 'Panorama' about?
It's a story of sending precious greetings to my past and future self. The song was born with my fans in mind.
Q. How do you envision the next 10 years as an artist?
I think I'll be more comfortable and happier, presenting myself more confidently to people and to myself.

'I (Solo Ver.)'가 아닐까 싶어요. 이번에 새롭게 탄생한 버전이라, 기존과는 색다른 느낌으로 들어주실 수 있을 것 같습니다.
Q. 지난 10년을 파노라마처럼 펼쳤을 때, 가장 Spotlight처럼 빛나는 순간은 언제인가요?
사실 10년 동안 너무 많은 일을 경험하기도 했고, 그 시간이 아득하게 느껴지기도 해서 기억이 잘 나지는 않는데요. (웃음) 아무래도 콘서트를 했던 순간들이 아닐까 싶습니다. 팬분들의 가장 많은 사랑과 응원을 받을 수 있는 순간이라 더 특별하게 느껴지는 것 같아요.
Q. 지난 10년간 아낌없는 사랑을 보내 준 리스너 분들에게 감사의 인사 부탁드립니다!
